Member of the Management Board at Rafineria Gdańska since October 2024. His responsibilities include contributing to the driving strategic goals of the company and overseeing key initiatives aimed at enhancing operational performance and growth.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and a Master’s degree in Quantitative Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). 

Accomplished leader with over 11 years of experience in the refining industry. During his tenure at Saudi Aramco, he held key leadership roles, managing large-scale teams and leading transformative initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency and creating value. At the Ras Tanura Refinery, he played a pivotal role in optimizing refinery operations, ensuring long-term sustainability, reducing costs, and improving overall performance. Prior to joining Rafineria Gdańska, Mr. Ben Assaf was in charge of planning and performance management for multiple refineries within Saudi Aramco.

He is fluent in English and Arabic and has intermediate proficiency in Japanese.
